I spent my childhood overweight/obese. At age 11 I reached a turning point and really committed to weight-loss. I lost 50 lbs initially through restricted calories and increased activity. Though happy to be smaller, I was still overweight, did not look fit, and did not eat nutritiously. My personal and academic journey from then on has been to find the right balance between diet, exercise, and healthy eating to sustain weight-loss and look and feel great. I have found success and wish to share what I have learned to help others achieve their own weight-loss success story!
